Wildflower Week Celebrated Statewide

Inspired by a identical inhabitant event, Nebraska Wildflower Week is a jubilee of wildflowers and native plants in the furious and in the landscape through an form of events and activities opposite Nebraska. In 2011, it will be celebrated the first week in Jun (May 28-June 5), when many of Nebraska’s prairies and gardens are at their prime.

Nebraska Statewide Arboretum Inc. serves as coordinator for Wildflower Week activities, bringing together organizations and people opposite the state who commend the worth of wildflowers — not only for their beauty but also for what they indicate and symbolize.

“Where wildflowers are thriving, it is a pointer that the environment is healthy,” pronounced Bob Henrickson, whose hothouse prolongation work with the nursery concentrates on local and regionally suitable plants.
