Finally, there’s a better-than-slim possibility of removing some sleet this weekend. Whether this is a spirit of an early stormy deteriorate to come or just an isolated, but much-needed, remit for all those crunchy lawns out there stays to be seen. The bottom line: Be grateful, and devise your week end activities around any heaven-sent showers.
WILLKOMMEN, BIENVENUE, WELCOME
What good is sitting alone in your room, when this week end is your last possibility to see the low-pitched “Cabaret” achieved by the South Fork High School behaving humanities dialect as they spin the school’s auditorium, 10205 S.W. Pratt Whitney Road in Stuart into Berlin’s Kit Kat Klub? Shows are 7:30 p.m. May thirteen and fourteen and 2 p.m. May 15. CAMP OUT AT LYRIC
You might as well equate on spending the total week end at The Lyric Theatre, 59 S.W. Flagler Ave. in downtown Stuart. First it’s “Laissez bon temps roulez” (“Let the good times roll”), when Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience move the Louisiana receptive to advice to the Lyric at 6 and 8:30 p.m. May 13. Then, the Indian River Pops Orchestra and guest singers will perform Broadway uncover tunes at 7:30 p.m. May 14. End up with singer/songwriter/actor Kris Kristofferson at 7 p.m. May fifteen and 16. ATTENTION: DIRTY DOGS
For a Labrador retriever who loves personification in the water, my dog Hula sure hates removing bathed in it. I’ll have to take her to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s annual dog rinse from 9 a.m. to noon May fourteen at the Vakani Orthodontics office, 1963 S.E. U.S. 1 in Stuart. Cost is $10 for a rinse and dry. Micro-chipping and spike writing also will be available; and there’ll be a rebound house, sleet cones and face portrayal for the kids who are removing out of dog-washing duty.
