Daily Photo – The Deep Blue Morning at Cerro Torre

I’d adore to lapse to this place, but I’m fearful the continue would not be as transparent and perfect.  Many locals told me there is a 90% possibility that these strong peaks would be lonesome with clouds, so we felt very propitious to have all so perfect.  Surely, a lapse here would not be scarcely as good…  but maybe… just maybe… a lapse would have clouds, but in an overwhelming thespian way.

You probably also know I’m not a air blower of solid blue skies.  But way up in the mountains, infrequently the sky on the conflicting side of the object is a low windy blue.  I see it from planes a lot when emergence breaks.  Maybe you have seen that tone of blue too… and here it is again.

Sometimes things on the map look really tighten together… and then you begin on foot and get about 25% of the way there and you turn quite repelled at how distant it essentially is. This feeling can be a little defeating, until you comprehend of course that you are in a pleasing city like Paris and there is fanciful stuff all around you. And then, you recollect you are a photographer with a ridiculously easy job, and all comes right back in perspective.

And, vocalization of that, hold me… we am super-grateful for this bizarre hold up we have. we never take anything for granted, and we get vehement like a little child on all these trips… adore removing on planes… adore the adventure… all of this arrange of stuff. we know a lot of cloyed people out there that do this stuff, and we just don’t assimilate them.

This was a good episode! We talked about topics like:

• Memory cards and abhorrence stories  (I use Hoodman, which Leo suspicion was funny…hehe – but see my Hoodman Review here)

So, in further to Lisa Bettany and Leo Laporte, we had on RC Concepcion, which was really cool.  He just accomplished a book on this very subject, so he was a fount of knowledge.  And if you guys don’t know who RC is, well then this is a good key to him!

I goal NASA doesn’t check this thing again! Re-organizing planes, hotels, and cars is not an easy thing. Luckily, my “inside gal” got me some discerning info so we was means to re-book the road house circuitously Cape Canaveral prior to it filled up. There’s gonna be a lot of people there… we should be removing in close, about 3 miles divided in the media section. I’m vehement about saying the space station launch, but I’m also disturbed about removing an engaging shot. I’ve been meditative about it a lot… we have some ideas but zero plain yet.

This is a good feeling — this thought of on foot to cooking and nearing back at the motel with family and friends just prior to it gets dark. we don’t know how to insist it, but maybe you have gifted this too.

This is in the distant northern part of the south island if New Zealand. The locale is declared Nelson, and we think it is one of the 5 greatest on that island. But all of New Zealand only has 4 million people, and the immeasurable infancy of those are on the north island. we consternation what has happened to towns like Nelson since the big trembler in circuitously Christchurch. Maybe some of our NZ village readers can fill us in with some on-the-ground info.
