FUTURO HOUSE

Trey’s Variety Hour #15 – Getting Great Photos with Newbie Equipment

Wondering if you can get good shots with newbie equipment? Guests embody with Lisa Bettany, Thomas Hawk, Gordon Laing, Matt Steiner, Lisa Bettany, Mel Peifer, Dave Veffer, Thor Carpenter, Keith Barrett, Matt Kloskowski!

Daily Photo – Futuro House

Remember those old timey visions of the future? They customarily concerned people in all-white suits sashaying around hyper-realized modernist structures that were just on the corner of imagination. Most of them never came to pass, but this reminded me of one of those scenes.

I found this one around Stuck On Earth while not long ago in LA. It’s very tighten to the H2O estimate building, which sounds incredibly boring, but it a bullion cave for photos!

 Q&A Hangout

This is a good Q&A hangout from a new recording.

Hollywood Story

This reminds me of a renouned post from last year…  it was a array of posts called My Hollywood Adventure.

Daily Photo – Century City

When we stayed with Tom progressing last week, we went up the mountain from his home to take a few photos of the sunset.  One area looks towards downtown, and the other looks towards Century City, Hollywood, and the Pacific sea beyond.

BEAUTIFUL SAN FRANCISCO

Sorry about the Apple Talk Broadcast

We attempted to do a live Google+ hangout from the Apple event, but there were problems. It kinda worked, but didn’t really have all the ooomph that we was anticipating for. Oh well, at slightest we tried. And we know what went wrong… I’m still reckoning this stuff out, and we’ll get it better subsequent time.

Daily Photo – Beautiful San Francisco

I just got back from a funny 3 days in San Francisco. The outing enclosed all from visits to Google, YouTube, Facebook, breakfast with Scoble, Smugmug, Microsoft at a Calacanis eventuality (where the arriving app WON Audience Choice!), then eventually a PhotoWalk in SF with Thomas Hawk. It was utterly exhausting, but very fun. After the Facebook talk, we headed to downtown San Francisco with Tom Anderson to get this photo. It was a good night!

THUNDERDOME – BLOOD UPON A SAND

Thunderdome Live Hangout – Sunday 5 PM ET (2 PM PT)

Come watch the live video hangout from my Google+ account or on Keithbarrett.tv on Sunday at 5 PM ET. We’ll have on Gordon Laing, Jeremy Cowart, Thomas Hawk, Lotus Carroll, and more!

Daily Photo – Thunderdome – Blood on the Sand

I was only to some extent harmed while removing this print from the furious sands of Burning Man.

A organisation kindly called the “Death Guild” erected a Thunderdome in the dried city here at Burning Man. we was roving home on my customized Mad Max bike (thx for creation it for me +Cliff Baise !), and we saw hundreds concentration on the Thunderdome for a large fight. Screaming hordes proposed rock climbing the super-structure to get a closer look. By the time we arrived, the observers were 10 low on all sides, everybody abrasive in to get a perspective of the big fight.

I jumped off my bike, grabbed my tripod, D3X, and 14-24 lens. we ducked down and crawled through legs clad in tanned hide and spikes to get just inside.

There were latex-clad women with billy clubs and peaked cudgels in motion the perimeter, gripping people from entrance inside. we gave one of more severe-looking gals the general curtsy of, “Hey, all is cool, let me stay here – I’m here with purpose.” This is a hard look to promulgate with words, but we have polished it through hundreds of iterations. Anyway, we staid down low to the ground.

Heavy steel song proposed grating and the master-of-ceremonies-in-leather came in to make known the combatants. The screams of the fans churned with the song in an assertive cacophony. People crushed harder into my backside as another traveller used the legs of my tripod to launch himself up into the super-structure. Read more…
