NO WE DON’T…
No we don’t…
It seems like every day we get a subject about either or not people compensate me to post about things. People think we do this because my Klout (meaningless) is 83 and we have over 750,000 supporters on Google+ and another 100K or so on Twitter + Facebook, but no, we do not:
- …do paid posts from Nikon for money
- …do paid posts from Sony for money
- …do paid posts from Apple for money
- …do paid posts from Google for money
- …do paid posts from Facebook for money
- …do paid posts from … you name it… SmugMug, American Airlines, Four Seasons, Banyan Tree, Fuji, American Express, etc etc… for money
The thing is… we can’t be bought. The blog is already essential and we have a full of health and happy group of employees here at StuckInCustoms that we conclude very much. The blog and commercial operation creates income from chartering photos and a accumulation of other activities – nothing of which embody companies profitable me to blog about something, G+ post about something, Tweet about something, or FB Update about something. If you ever see me discuss a product or service, it’s simply because we longed for to… because it fits in with the story or it is a product or use we recommend.
When people see me write an essay that is vicious of destiny Nikon DSLRs and says that we am Sony-curious, some pretence that Sony is profitable me to contend this. That is absurd. we am totally independent.
So, with me, you can be positive you’ll regularly get my pristine opinion.
There are regularly behind-the-scenes stuff function that we reject all the time. I’ll attend to any proposal, as long as it does not embody me being treasonable to you, my peaceful reader. If you’d like to review more about this process and all the details and outs on the website, revisit my Ethics Statement.
There are ceaselessly treacherous situations that we try to avoid. For example, Lytro offering to send me a giveaway camera in sell for me promulgation them my Lytro photos to be featured on their website. That would be seen as an central “endorsement” of sorts by me. Anyway, we told those jokers no way. Even though we would not be actively posting about it, the organisation could be seen as disruptive and not deferential of you.
Daily Photo – The Lonely Woods, Forever
Here is another print from our new Yosemite PhotoWalk last week. The hollow building is full of unenlightened forests that can go on for an eternity. I had a smashing time exploring these with all my associate PhotoWalkers. we can’t wait for to do it all again soon.
