LITTLE BEIJING

Category and “Previous” Reminder

I’ve been receiving photos of different places around the universe for many most years now, and you might suffer a few low dives into the story of it all!  To see more of any sold country, go select it from the reduce right.  Try, for example, Argentina.  After you corkscrew down through a page of photos, click “Previous” to see another page.  Most unchanging readers here know this, but new people cocktail in all the time — so there you go! :)

Daily Photo - Little Beijing

While at the tip of one of new towers built for the Olympics, we was means to get a good vantage back towards different tools of the city.  Beijing is so widespread out — there does not appear to be a executive concentration in the normal “skyscraper” sense.  I’ve taken a few other downtown shots you might stop (click on the”Beijing” category), but this mark was kind of cold and singular because of this building we was in.

I happened to be outward with Joe McNally, after we eventually assured the officials to let us get over the inside and unwashed windows.  We were out in the “5th ring” where many Olympic venues were built.  And so, here was this outrageous building in the outskirts, seeking back towards the city.  It seemed like a good incident for a zoom-in application shot.

ROMANTIC EVENING IN A ALPS

Other good mountain-towns?

Zermatt was really one of the best mountain-towns we have visited.  Maybe you know of many more – any recommendations?  I’m guessing, for example, there are some genuine gems in Germany we have never listened of…

Daily Photo – Romantic Evening in the Alps

The best time of day.  (To me.)

When you are in a new place and there are too many things to see and do.  There are too many places to eat and explore.  There are too many streets and alleys to revisit and photograph.  This is a good thing.  It is a good feeling of being impressed by it all.  So, in these times, there are no bad decisions.  Just go yes or no way the night takes you… get mislaid and find pretty little things.

NEO-GYSPY IN A DESERT

Burning Man Photos

I have so many good scenes from Burning Man recently, but we have not posted many!  This is very sore of me — we will get on it.  In the meantime, check the Burning Man category here on the site to see more.

Daily Photo – Neo-Gyspy in the Desert

I was on foot opposite the playa at Burning Man with Tom when we came opposite this hobo of sorts.  She was kind of dancing through the dried eating a bag of chips.  That was surreal and everything, but then it felt even foreigner when she pulled out her iPhone to make a few records about our meeting.  She typed in stuckincustoms.com so she would be sure to revisit when she got back to civilization.

HELGA’S FARM IN ICELAND

Before GPS

I can frequency recollect a time prior to we had to find new places but GPS, but we get reminded of it a lot when we am out in the boonies but phone coverage.  Like, for example, this place in Iceland.  I feel almost invalid but GPS!

Daily Photo - Helga’s Farm in Iceland

My crony Helga has been smashing enough to entice me to her plantation in Iceland many times.  It’s regularly a fun outing up to the north to see her.  But, we regularly get a little lost.  Finding the particular-turn-in along this fjord is all the time a source of confusion, generally at night.  I don’t know because it is so formidable to me, because after we get there it is solid as day.  And I’m sure all Icelanders think we am crazy… but it’s like a dark door, fey and passing with the light, and you can only see it during sure portals of time.

Once you get on the little mud highway to her plantation this is what you see.
