Daily Photo – Waiting on the Solstice Sun

Up in the northwest fjords of Iceland, the roads end but the land keeps going.

There is this apart island, graphic here, that has no roads at all. It seems so remote and… well… scary. we don’t know because we get that foresight sense! It just feels so lonely, so distant north… the cliffs are so sheer… no one to listen to you scream… and these sorts of things. we do like being remote, but this is a little too remote.

Daily Photo – Ascending to the Temple at Night

There is a church atop a outrageous mountain in Lijiang that has several “staging areas” for rest along the way. This is one of them.

This is an area where we took a lot of photos of the old locale below. That area is kind of at the back of me here in this photo, nonetheless that is hard to discuss it from this vantage. It is a good lazy place to recharge your batteries prior to finishing the rest of the travel up the steps to the top. There’s also a little emporium here that sells snacks and drinks… To me, a loyal adventurer never passes up a good snack.

A GOOD DAY DURING GOOGLE!

Why we adore the comments some others dislike

I wrote an essay on Google+ entitled “Why we adore saying the “Nice shot” and “Wow” comments, and because some other photographers should stop angry about it…”, and it was quite popular! In about twelve hours, it strike the max of 500 comments. Anyway, we suspicion you all might suffer the essay as well, since the same goes for here at the blog too!

And interjection again for all the adds and stuff. It looks like we someway got in the Top twenty in Google+, so I’m very grateful to you all!

Looking for people to circle? See the Stuck In Customs village list!

Daily Photo – A good day at Google!

So, a associate photographer at Google declared Brian White contacted me through G+ and asked if we longed for to revisit the Zurich offices while we was in Switzerland. It just so happened that we am drifting out of Zurich, and we took a sight from Zermatt yesterday afternoon to encounter him.

I met all sorts of engaging people there from Google and from the Google+ team. To see everybody we met and round them, see the Google+ post about this.

We did a live Google+ Hangout (see photo) from their offices and had people bond from all over the world. We even had a Vietnamese man in Prague stick on and fool around us an acoustic guitar song! It was really fun…

After the Hangout, we went up to the Google living room on the tip building of their offices to take this print together. See those people there on the left? They often abandoned us. we think this is because they were critical Germans personification a house game. Never fool around a house diversion with a German.

THE GOLDEN HORSE IN ICELAND

Charity Update

Thanks again everybody for contributing to Team Stuck In Customs on Kiva. we think we are over $11,000, and that is great. What have your practice been like? Are people profitable you back and you are reinvesting? we think all of my little loans have been paid back, so we gotta get back in there and find some new good entrepreneurs to support!

Daily Photo: The Golden Horse in Iceland

We worked on this one tonight in the webinar, and we goal people didn’t get too bored. It’s very strange, because we am articulate to myself for over an hour, and we only get occasional feedback when Andrea stops examination reruns of Ricki Lake. Anyway, I’ll just pretence that people like saying it, since people keep display up.
