Daily Photo – The Sorbonne

My crony (and website designer), Fabien Barral, met my mother and we in Paris to take us out to dinner. We left the hotel, and about thirty seconds out the door, we came opposite this travel side cafeteria right by the Sorbonne, the important university. Luckily, we think both of them were used to this function and chatted agreeably while we snapped away.

I worked on this print all day. People mostly ask me how long we work on photos. If you’ve seen the HDR Video Tutorial here on the site, you know it takes me anywhere from fifteen mins to 3 hours. This one was on the long side for sure… It was difficult work, but we am happy with the results.

The research side of my brain loves this thing. Yesterday, we decided to share the work of a photographer declared Jaime Ibarra. And then, this cognisance of the report widespread was created. Very cool!

With that chart, you can draw towards the timeline along the bottom to watch how things grow and widespread over time. Cool! Also, you can wizz in and click on assorted bubbles.

Daily Photo – The Tattoo Shop

Speaking of Google, we did a Google+ hangout last night where we worked on this photo. we took it just not long ago at the San Francisco PhotoWalk with Thomas Hawk. It was a good night… so many sights to be seen there.

As usual, we had two cameras with me. One was for discerning travel shots with a 50mm prime. The other had my 14-24mm (see Nikon 14-24mm Review) on for these sorts of shots. we find that if we want to be on the path and take a print of the store in front of me, we really need this kind of lens to fist it all in!
